District Requires Infringements on Women's Rights, Interests Be Reported
ByYao Yao July 16, 2022Yuhang People's Procuratorate, Yuhang Women's Federation and four other bureaus in Yuhang, a district in Hangzhou, a city in East China's Zhejiang Province, recently issued a guideline that established a reporting mechanism for cases of infringement on women's rights and interests in the hotel industry.
The effort is meant to help hotel keepers and hotel staff strengthen their awareness of and abilities to protect women's rights and interests, and to protect women from becoming victims of sexual assault, and/or other crimes, in hotels.
The guideline also requires relevant departments and personnel to provide judicial aid, medical treatment and psychological intervention to and protect the personal information of women who become victims.
